Jack R Tyner, Jr.

Spartanburg, SC - Jack R. Tyner, Jr., 68, also lovingly known as Jackie, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022.  

Born to Jack R. Tyner, Sr. and the late Sybil Rankin Tyner on September 18, 1954, Jackie spent his years in his hometown of Spartanburg, SC.  After graduating from Dorman High School in 1972, Jackie joined his father in their family business at Regal Distributing, Inc. here in Spartanburg.  A music lover to his core, Jackie knew a thing about playing the guitar and enjoyed to listen to his extensive vinyl collection, with The Marshall Tucker Band always being at the top of the list.  A beloved father of three, Jackie enjoyed spending time with his family and visiting Edisto Beach.  He was a member of the Saint John's Masonic Lodge 333 AFM and of First Baptist Church Spartanburg.  

In addition to his father, Jackie is survived by his son, Jake R. Tyner; two daughters, Allie T. Stubbs and husband, Ben, and Kelsey J. Perkins and husband, Keith; as well as his grandchildren, Jackson, Silas, Rowan, and Callum Perkins.  Jackie is also survived by his brother, Marty Tyner and wife, Wanda; sisters, Teresa T. Boyter and husband, Ric, Cathie Johnston, and Connie Knight and husband, Dennis; nephew, Julian Carswell; nieces, Tiffany Tyner and Rose Knight; and his children’s mother, Cindy Tyner.  

The family will welcome friends at the home of Jack R. Tyner, Jr.  

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 3:00PM located at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Reverend Sal Barone.
