Jacob Frederick Hughes

Spartanburg, SC- Jacob Frederick Hughes, 37, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 3, 2023.

Born June 1, 1985 in Spartanburg, SC, Jake was a son of Tracy Snyder Hines and Paul Frederick Hughes. He played little league baseball for many years and attended Dorman High School. Jake was artistic, creative, musically inclined, and loved to fish. He will forever be lovingly remembered as a great father, a hard worker, and for always having a smile on his face.

In addition to his parents, Jake is survived by his fiancé, Alaxa Harris; his sons, Kameron, Landon, and Laken Hughes, Kaidyn and Kashton Harris; daughters, Destiny, Aubrey, and London Hughes, and Mailee Harris; brothers, Shane and Lucas Hughes, and Cody Ryan; a sister, Lacey Hughes; maternal grandfather, Jimmy Snyder; paternal grandmother, Jean Christopher Hughes; a special uncle, Larry Snyder; uncles, Chris, and Jimmy Dean Snyder, Johnny Peak, and Rodney Hughes; an aunt, Kimberly Haulbrook; a special cousin, Dylan Snyder; nephew, Grayson Hughes; three nieces, Elleigh and Raven Hughes, and Hazel Bogan; and his HG family.

He was predeceased by maternal grandmother, Judy Smith Snyder; paternal grandfather, Paul Hughes, Sr.; and aunts, Tina Peak and Teresa Hughes.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 10^th, 5-7PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 11^th, 2:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend John Petty.

Burial will follow in Philadelphia Baptist Church cemetery.
