James "Jim" Robert Alley

Moore, SC- James Robert Alley, 84, husband of Myra Caldwell Alley, passed away on Saturday, January 06, 2018. Born June 20, 1933 in Spartanburg, SC, James was a son of the late Floyd Alexander and Bertha Davis Alley. He honorably served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. James was a Mason and Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star for 16 years. He was a member and Deacon of Beaver Hills Baptist Church. In addition to his wife of 59 years, James is survived by his sons, Robert Jay Alley (Carolyn) and Hughston Jodie Alley (Krystal); his daughter, Emily Alley White (Chris); five grandchildren, John Robert Alley (Stephanie), Allie Thrower (Caleb), Corey White (Brittany), Matthew Alley (Connie), and Tiffany Alley; and five great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday, January 8th, 6-8PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 9th, 11AM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, officiated by Reverend Steve Hogge and Reverend John Cox. The family will be at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roebuck Masonic Lodge, Elevator Fund, P O Box 304, Roebuck, SC 29376.
