James Walter Kelly, Sr. of Moore, SC passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the age of 78. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on May 9, 1945 to the late Walter C. Kelly and Hazel K. Gwinn.
After several years in logistics with Carey Moving and Storage, James retired. He enjoyed western movies, playing solitaire, and fishing at Lake Greenwood. James often visited Cherokee Speedway to watch the races.
He is survived by his son, Jason Eric Kelly (Katheryn); grandchildren, Carrington, Nichole, and JD; great-grandchild, Willow; sisters, Linda Forrester and Anne Robbins (Tony); and numerous nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his son, James Walter Kelly, Jr., sister, Barbara Ragsdale; and brother-in-law, Gerald Forrester.
