James David Miller

Roebuck, SC- James David Miller, 67, husband of Sieglinde Hofmann Miller, died Sunday, December 31, 2017. Born August 2, 1950 in Albemarle, NC, James was the son of the late Luther David Miller and Norma McSwain Miller- Burr. He was an electrician and plumber by trade, serving in Stanly County for over 25 years. In his spare time, James enjoyed working on and restoring old cars. He was a member and Deacon at Silver Springs Baptist Church. James will always be remembered as a loving grandad, dad, and husband. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his son, Michael David Miller of Indian Trail, NC; his daughter, Linda Averre and her husband, Jonathan, of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren, Dylan and Daniel Efird, Brayden Carter, and Austin Miller; and a brother, Luther Miller of Norwood, NC. James was predeceased by a grandson, Dakota Efird; and two sisters, Norma Leigh Finchum and Linda Gail Watts. The family will receive friends Friday, January 5th, 10-11AM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Chapel at 11AM. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
