James A. Smith Roebuck, SC- James Allen Smith, 71, husband of Dianne Lee Smith, died Friday, October 5, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born December 18, 1946 in Greer, SC, Jimmy was a son of the late Charles Smith and Edith Smith Haney. He was the owner of Joe Fincher’s Cabinet Shop and was a master craftsman and cabinet maker. Jimmy was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and served as a Deacon for many years. He was a Greer High School football enthusiast, and watched them play all over the state for more than 30 years. More than anything, Jimmy took great care of his family, friends and never met a stranger. He was a wonderful husband, a loving papa, and great grandpa. In addition to his wife of 51 years, Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Angela Smith Wofford and her husband, Todd, and Nicole Smith Brown and her husband, Thomas; his grandchildren, Desiree, Deidra, and David Hunter, Carson and Addison Brown, Dylan Wofford, and Bailey Husic and her husband, Anes; a great grandson, Aiden Husic; and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a special brother, Frankie Smith, whom he loved dearly. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow immediately at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Frankie Taylor. Pallbearers are Todd Wofford, Thomas Brown, David Hunter, Butch Lister, Dwayne Anderson, Randy Carver, and Addison Brown. Burial will be held in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
