Jerry M. Casey

Roebuck, SC- Jerry Malcom Casey, 72, husband of Sylvia Ann Franklin Casey, died Saturday, June 19, 2021.

Born April 3, 1949 in Greenwood, SC, Jerry was adopted, raised, and loved by Sam Casey, Sr. and Sue Addie Teague Casey. Later in life, he was able to meet his biological father, William Douglas Wells. He was a dedicated and proud police officer, serving 25 years with the Spartanburg City Police Department as a Lieutenant before his retirement. Jerry was a Mason, a member of the Spartanburg City Shrine Club, and a longtime member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Jerry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, survived by his wife, Sylvia; sons, Brian Casey (Suzanne) of Spartanburg, SC and Brad Casey (Mindy) of Roebuck, SC; grandchildren, Christopher, Jake, Claudia, Leigha, Piper, Skyler (Kensie), and Madison; one great-grandchild, Titus; his brothers, Monty Wells (Brenda) of Ware Shoals, SC and Mike Wells of Florida; and many other nieces, nephews, and family members that he dearly loved.

He was predeceased by his biological father, William D. Wells; a brother, Sam W. Casey, Jr.; and a sister, Ruby H. Kecurek.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 23^rd, 6-8 PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 24^th, 2 PM at Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
