Jerry Dennis Fanning

Jerry, born July 3, 1933 to Reverend Junius R. and Ruth H. Dennis, passed away Tuesday February 25, 2025. Jerry has at last been reunited with the love of her life, Joe E. Fanning Sr who passed in 1970. Upon the death of Joe, Jerry lived for and was devoted to her 3 children while being a dedicated teacher and active member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Bishopville. When grandchildren arrived she became the doting, loving Mimi and attended many events that her grandchildren took part in through the years. Jerry was a strong Southern lady who showed grace and grit throughout her life while being loved by many. 

 Jerry is survived by son Joe E. Fanning Jr (Kaye), June F Girrier (Bob) and Judith F Raines (David), along with 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  

Along with her parents and husband, Jerry was predeceased by grandson Alexander Kai Girrier.

 The family would like to thank the entire staff at Eden Terrace Spartanburg, Interim Hospice and sitters for all the care they so lovingly gave Jerry. 

 "Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:31.

 A graveside service will be held on Friday March 7, 2025, 11 AM, at Bethlehem United Methodist Cemetery, 110 Pinchum Sly Rd. Bishopville, SC 29010.
