Jerry Olin Hartley

Spartanburg, SC- Jerry Olin Hartley, 75, husband of Cherry Gardner Hartley, entered into eternal rest on the early morning of Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Born June 28, 1946 in Charleston, SC, Jerry was the son of the late Olin H. and Cassie Wall Hartley. He was a graduate of North Charleston High School and received his BS degree in Business Administration from Baptist College at Charleston. Jerry honorably served his country in the US Navy as a Vietnam veteran. He was a retired accountant with the Charleston County School District. In addition to his beloved wife, Cherry, Jerry is survived by his daughter, Susan H. Moody and her husband, Raymond, of North Charleston, SC; son, Michael B. Akins USAF and his wife, Leslie, of Mexico; daughter, Cerah H. Elkins and her husband, Chris, of Summerville, SC; and nine grandchildren. A memorial graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday, June 28th, 11:00AM in Riverview Memorial Park.
