Jerry Dean Jackson

Jerry Dean Jackson, 88, of Spartanburg, died peacefully May 4, 2022.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Ann Davis Jackson; his three children, Robin Jackson Adams (Mark), Charna Jackson Nicholson (John Jr.), and Jerold Andrew Davis Jackson; four grandchildren, Ann Dawson Nicholson Tumbleston (Michael), Susan Ellis Nicholson, Captain Henry Reynolds Adams (USAF), and William Jackson Adams; and two great-grandchildren, Charlotte Ann Tumbleston and John Brooks Tumbleston.

Jerry was born December 7, 1933, in Tucapau SC, to Samuel and Woodrow Nina Caldwell Jackson. An Eagle Scout, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force prior to graduating from University of SC School of Pharmacy. Jerry practiced pharmacy in Spartanburg and the Upstate for more than 60 years. He retired from the SC National Guard 251st Evac Hospital after serving in Operation Desert Storm. Jerry completed seminary classes through Duke University and became an ordained Methodist pastor, shepherding several churches in the Upstate. However, his spiritual home was St Paul Methodist Church in Spartanburg, where he served in many capacities.

Jerry loved his Lord, his family, his community, and his country, and he will be greatly missed. A private service celebrating his life will be held.
