Joan George Storie

Moore, SC - Joan George Storie, 88, passed away on December 5, 2024. She was the widow of the late Chester Ray Storie and the daughter of the late Andy Christopher George , Sr. and the late Minnie James George of Spartanburg, SC. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. 

She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church and The Joy Sunday- School Class, also a former nursery worker for many years. She also attended Sunday Night and Wednesday Night Services at Emmanuel Baptist Church with her family. 

She is survived by three daughters, Rhonda Rice (Randy) of Boiling Springs, Tammy Smith of Boiling Springs and Teresa Haulbrook (Mark) of Duncan. 

She was predeceased by three sisters, Daisy Ann George, Betty George Trail and Dianne George Ferguson and one brother, Andy Christopher George Jr. Also seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM, Monday, December 9, 2024, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with a Funeral Service following at 12:30 PM in the Sanctuary officiated by Rev. Frankie Taylor. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
