Joanne Goodwin Harrelson

Spartanburg, SC – Joanne Goodwin Harrelson, 91, died Tuesday, June 11th, 2024, at White Oak Manor in Spartanburg. Born on April 12th, 1933 in Woodruff, SC, Joanne was a daughter of the late Dewey D. and Ella Vee Skinner Goodwin.

She was a graduate of Woodruff High School. She retired from Olney Paint Company after many years. She was also a member of Church at the Mill.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Clement Harrelson.

Joanne is survived by her sons; Terry Harrelson (Vickie) of Spartanburg, SC, Joey Harrelson (Anna) of Inman, SC, seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son; Jeff Harrelson, and a grandchild, Shannon Harrelson.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Rd., Roebuck, SC 29376. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, 2 PM, in the Chapel at The Mill. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family will be at the home.

Mrs. Jo’s request was that for any of her Sunday school students that wish to attend her service, be seated separately in the sanctuary. Therefore, please notify the funeral home staff when you arrive to the service and they will direct you to the appropriate seating.
