John W Bulman

Roebuck, SC- John Bulman, 68, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center, Mary Black Campus.

John was a native of Spartanburg County and a son of the late Furman and Mary Millwood Bulman. He was also predeceased by a brother, Adrian F. Bulman, making him the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was a graduate of Dorman High School, class of 1973, and attended R. D. Anderson Technology Center. His time there sparked the beginning of a career in electrical work. John retired from the Charles Lea Center as Maintenance Supervisor. He also retired from the SC Department of Natural Resources after 26 years of service as Deputy Wildlife Law Enforcement Officer.

John is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rebecca Sprouse Bulman; his nephews, Aaron Bulman of Melbourne, FL and Evan Bulman of Woodstock, GA; brothers in-law, Michael Moore (Christina) and Fred Sprouse (Tammy); sister in-law, Sally Sprouse-Anderson (Gavin); and his furbaby, Ladybug. He also leaves behind his special friends of 50 years, Rick Henderson and Pat Switzer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 20th, 3:00PM, in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Joe Burnett, Reverend Kevin Harrison, and Reverend Brian Harris. The family will receive friends following the service.

Viewing will be available at Dunbar Funeral Home on Saturday, November 19th, 9:30AM until 12noon.
