John Henry Steading, Jr.

Pauline, SC- John Henry Steading, Jr., 77, husband of Judy Melton Steading, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at his home.

John was born January 29, 1945 in Spartanburg, SC, he was one of eight children born to the late John Henry Steading, Sr. and Eva Wallace Steading. John enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, and cross-country travel with his friends and family.

John dearly loved his beloved wife, Judy, and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Throughout his life, he provided a great example of how to live a happy, full, life for his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all others who were blessed to have had the opportunity to know him.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, John is survived by his daughter, Julie Morgan (Rusty); his son, Jay Steading (Sonya); grandchildren, Perry Morgan (Victoria), Gregg Morgan (Britt’ny), John Taylor Morgan, Megan Hall (Bradley), and Jordan Steading; and great grandchildren, Rosia Morgan and Piper Morgan.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his brother, Bobby Steading, for the extraordinary brotherly love displayed during John’s life.

A private family committal will be held.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 13^th, 11:00AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following.
