John Charles Wallington

JOHN CHARLES WALLINGTON Spartanburg - Charles Wallington joyously entered God’s Heaven on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the age of 91.  A native of St. Louis, MO, he spent his adult life in the Upstate where he co-founded Christian Supply in 1953.  Charles was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many decades.  He was married to the late Margaret Simpson Wallington and is survived by his son Chuck (Linda) and daughter Janet Bennett, as well as seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
