John David Wyatt, was born August 10, 1937 to Arthur Garrison Wyatt and Marie Crowder Wyatt, in Spartanburg, SC. He passed peacefully on November 1, 2024.

John was 87 years old and a proud US Army veteran. He was recently inducted into the Spartanburg County VA's "Hall of Heroes" for exceptional and honorable service in the Armed Forces. John was a member of River Hills Baptist Church in Moore, SC where he sang in the choir, served as a deacon, and was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

He was predeceased by his mother and father, Arthur and Marie Crowder Wyatt and a sister, Helen Wyatt and brother Jack Wyatt. John is survived by his wife of 65 years, Peggy H Wyatt of the home; two sons, David K. Wyatt (Dianne), and Arthur M Wyatt; three grandchildren, Matthew Wyatt, Kyle Wyatt and Nicole Wyatt and Le Ann Wyatt mother of Matthew and Kyle; as well as two brothers, Ronnie Wyatt and Joe Wyatt.

John was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather who loved his family dearly. He was an avid reader and history buff. He loved gospel music and spent many years as a minister of music in three separate Baptist churches and sang in a gospel quartet, The Apostles, with his brother Ronnie Wyatt in the 1970s and 80s. 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, 1:00PM at River Hills Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the sanctuary.
