Spartanburg, SC- Joyce Duck Lewis, 76, wife of the late Thomas “TC” Lewis, died Monday, January 11, 2021. Born November 18, 1944 in Hazelhurst, GA, she was the sixth child of 9 siblings born to the late Hubert and Pauline Ross Duck of Royston, GA. Joyce graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Hazelhurst. She retired from Diversco, Inc. after 22 years of service. Prior to working with Diversco, she worked for 14 years at S&S Mfg. Joyce was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and served as Secretary of the Beautiful Hats Society. She also served as President of the Southeastern PBC Support Group. Joyce loved spending time with her grandchildren, her church family, and her Ya Ya Sisters (Jo Baldwin, Tammy Clary, and the late Robbie Kelly). She was sweet, gentle, and kind to all who knew her and was loved by all. She is survived by one son, Chris Lewis and his wife, Carol; her two daughters, Denise Arcaro and her husband, Brian, and Lisa Donahue and her husband, Dale; grandchildren, Tyler Jordan (Kristen), Faith Toney (Chris), Lindsey Jordan, Stephen Lewis, and Spencer Lewis; and three great grandchildren, Gage, Forrest, and Lucy Jordan. She is also survived by one brother, Leonard Duck (Marvalea); and two sisters, Ruby Murphy (Clayton) and Ella Bennett (Paul); 16 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews, whom she all loved dearly. In addition to her husband of 50 years, she was predeceased by her brothers, HC Duckworth and James Duck; and sisters, Ella Savannah Duck, Myrtle Woodward, and Wanda Fowler. A private memorial service will be held for Mrs. Lewis and can livestreamed at https://www.msidechurch.org/media on Saturday, January 23rd, 3:00PM. The password to the livestream is Lewis.
