Kathryn Derry Stoehr

Kathryn “Kathy” Derry Stoehr is at rest after a brave battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and a treasured grandmother. 

Kathy is survived by her husband, David Humphries, children; Bradley Stoehr (Leslie), Geris Humphries (Lindsay), Molly Moyer (Bryan) and Corey Humphries. She is also survived by the lights of her life, her seven grandchildren: Halee, Aubree and Rydge Humphries, Stella and Miller Stoehr, Molly Kate and Olivia Moyer. 

Kathy is predeceased by her parents, William and Patricia Derry, as well as a sister, Sheila Cavender. Her surviving siblings include: Mike Derry (Becky), Tim Derry (Cheli), John Derry (Ellen), and her baby sister, Mary-ellen Derry (Greg). 

She dedicated her life and career to serving others - it was a passion. The gift of sign language opened many doors for Kathy, including the opportunity to relocate to South Carolina. A place she was delighted to call home. 

Kathy will be remembered as someone who always went above and beyond for everyone in her life. She saw the best in everyone and never missed the opportunity the celebrate an accomplishment for her friends and family.

A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, 1 P.M., at the J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beforehand from 11:30 A.M. to 1 P.M.
