Kenneth Earl Alley

Spartanburg, SC- Kenneth Earl Alley, 73, husband of Eva Robin Rhodes Alley, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at his home. Butch was born February 27, 1949 in Indianapolis, IN. He honorably served his country in the US Army during Vietnam and retired as SSG, Military Police. He went on to serve his community for years to come as a police officer with the Comanche County Sheriff’s Department in Oklahoma, Blackville, SC Police Department, and retired from Spartanburg County. Mr. Alley was a loving and devoted grandfather to his grandsons, who he loved dearly. In addition to his wife, Eva, he is survived by his daughter, Tina Alley; step daughters, Catherine Shackleford, Elizabeth Wood, and Sheila Brown; grandsons, James Alley, Michael Parsons, Justin Shackleford, Liam Shackleford, and one on the way, Hudson Lynn Wood. He was also survived by his siblings, Theodore Levee, Nina Laurenzana, and Joe Laurenzana. He was predeceased by his mother, Corinne J. McEvoy; step father, Thomas McEvoy; son, Anthony James “Tony” Alley; grandparents, Kenneth and Georgia Marshall; and a sister, Ruthann Popcheff. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 8th, 5:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. His burial will be held at Ft Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma at a later date.
