Laura Katharine Bates

Moore, SC- Laura Katharine Bates, 35, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at her home. Born December 7, 1982 in Thousands Oaks, CA, Laura was a daughter of Katharine Richards Bates and the late Thomas Victor Bates, III. She was employed by Red Bowl. In addition to her mother, Laura is survived by her son, Nathan Alexander (17); her daughter, Chloe Victoria (12); and her sister, Rebekah Taylor Bates. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21st, 2:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bates College Fund, Synovus Bank, P O Box 610, Spartanburg, SC 29304, for her beloved children.
