Cowpens, SC- Linda Frances Attaway Ross, 68, wife of David Lee Ross, passed away into her Saviors arms on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born February 1, 1949 in Cowpens, SC, she was a daughter of the late Clifton Attaway, Sr. and Amanda Petty Sams. Linda was a graduate of Cowpens High School, class of 1969, and Spartanburg Technical College, where she received her degree in Secretarial Science. She was employed by Spartanburg General Hospital until 1970, Mary Black Hospital from 1971-2009, and Spartanburg Regional Hospital for Restorative Care until 2013 when she retired. In addition to her husband of 47 years, Linda is survived by her daughter, Shannon Bryan (Chris) of Taylors, SC; grandchildren, Ashley Spicer (Eric) of Spartanburg, SC, Makayla Lefler (Dalton) of Georgia, and Logan Lefler (Kyle) of Spartanburg, SC; two great grandchildren, Abram and Evelyn Spicer; brothers, Clifton Attaway (Lee) and Danny Attaway (Margaret), both of Cowpens, SC; stepfather, Charles Sams; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Attaway. A private ceremony will be held at a later date. The family will be at the home.
