Lisa Alice Long, 69, of Spartanburg, SC, left this mortal coil on the evening of January 30th, surrounded by the warmth of her loved ones.
She is survived by her loving husband Beau; two children, Austin MacKenzie and Cooper (and partner Michelle Steves); grandchildren, Marshall and Barratt; sister-in-law, Leigh Long; niece, Lissa Sinclair (and husband Greg); and grand-nephew, Henry Mooney-Sinclair.
Lisa played many roles in her life, having taught as a long-term substitute teacher, been a financial comptroller of several Spartanburg businesses, had her poetry published, played a vital role in a Christian clown ministry, and climbed her way to being one of the top pistol shooters in the state. Nothing was more important to her, however, than being a dutiful wife and mother. It is truly hard to put into words the impact she had on those who were involved in her life in any way shape or form.
In lieu of a traditional funeral service, a celebration of her life will take place at her home in Spartanburg after a time of healing. More information on the specifics of that event will come.
In lieu of flowers, carry her memory and impact forward by hugging your loved ones a little tighter and sharing a meal with the people you care about most.
“Memories are a gift from God that death cannot destroy.”
