Lou Esther Hardee Gans, 86, of Spartanburg, South Carolina died February 17th, 2025, peacefully at her Home. Born October 29, 1938 in Conway, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Coy Devon Hardee and Hazel Tindal Hardee.
Mrs. Gans was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg and retired after serving 25 years as a “Nanny” to a very special Family. Survivors include her husband Ernest Gans, one sister, Frances Evon (Cookie) Hardee Taylor of Kannapolis, NC, five children, Shari Cravener Lioen and her husband Lindsay of Tampa Fl, Denise Cravener Manus of Old Fort, NC, Kelly L Gans and his wife Donna of Chesnee, SC Christina Louise Hyatt of Spartanburg SC, and Robin A Gans. Mrs. Gans was the grandmother of Courtney Manus Moon, Amber Smith Gragg, Jake Gans, John Manus, Jordan Gans, Shelby Gans. Great-grandchildren, Storm Gragg, Mia Gans, Miles Gans, Ronan Gibson, Jadyn Gibson, and Eden Gibson. Mrs. Gans was preceded in death by one son, David J Gans.
Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2PM Monday, February 24th at Dunbar Funeral Home in Roebuck. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at 2 PM at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Brian Redding of First Baptist Church Spartanburg SC. A private burial will follow at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson, SC.
