Marcia Stone Peake

Pauline, SC- Marcia Evelyn Stone Peake, 85, wife of the late John Lamartine Peake, Jr., died Saturday, February 3, 2018. Born February 20, 1932 in Woodruff, SC, Marcia was the daughter of the late John Roscoe and Maude Bobo Stone. She was a talented seamstress, homemaker, and loved to read, crochet, and knit. Marcia was previously employed with Raycord and S&S Manufacturing before her retirement. She was a faithful member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Glenn Springs, SC. Marcia is survived by her children, John E. Peake (Deloris), Jerry L. Peake (Shirley), and Susan Peake Cherry-Casey (Jerry); and grandchildren, Chad Peake (Molly), Andy Peake (Angela), Jason Cherry (Annie), Kasey Prato (Eric), Tommy Peake (Lisa), Kirsten White (Jason), Brandon Hughes, and Bart Casey; twelve great grandchildren; and a brother, Frank B. Stone (Shirley). In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three siblings, Barbara Givins, Everette Stone, and John Roscoe Stone, Jr. The family will receive friends Monday, February 5th, 6-8PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6th, 11:00AM at Calvary Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes.
