Margaret E. “Peggy” Keller

Spartanburg, SC- Margaret Elizabeth “Peggy” Keller, 85, wife of the late Gene A. “Austin” Keller, died Monday, January 3, 2022.

Born in Greer, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ralph A. and Nita Downs Coggins. Peggy was a nurse for many years, working for Dr. John G. Ramsbottom and Dr. John Duncan, before her retirement. Peggy was a member of the 2^nd Presbyterian Church and a former member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Peggy will be lovingly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and an amazing cook.

She leaves behind her daughter, Candace “Renee” Fowler (Michael) of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Brandon Cheleotis (Brandy) of Boiling Springs, SC, Kyle Cheleotis (Elizabeth) of Inman, SC, Michael Fowler of Florida, and Daniel Fowler of Georgia; great-grandchildren, Megan, Peyton, and Austin Cheleotis.

In addition to her husband, Peggy was predeceased by a daughter, Rhonda Cheleotis; and three brothers, David, Arlen, and Wayne Coggins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 6^th, 5-7 PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 7^th, 10 AM at Dunbar Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Rufus Chaneyworth.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
