Maria Ines Medina de Osorio

Maria Ines Medina de Osorio, 88, widow of Carlos Eduardo Osorio, died Saturday, December 14, 2024. 

Maria was a strong, devoted family woman. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, South America, she was a daughter of the late Aureliano Medina and Ana Micaelina Rojas. She and her husband moved to New York in 1965. Years later, they moved their family to Miami, before relocating to Spartanburg in 2015. She loved and cared for each of her family members, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Tita” or “Princesa Ines”. They will deeply miss her smiling face at every vacation, sporting event, and Sunday Funday.

Maria loved to cook and could often be found around the house wearing her signature red lipstick and nail polish. She also loved to dance, especially cumbia, and watching golf and Liverpool FC soccer. Most of all, she loved her Lord. Maria was a devoted Catholic and member of Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church for 10 years. 

She is survived by her sons, Carlos J. Osorio (Karen) and Oscar A. Osorio (Teresa); grandchildren, Dusty Lee Robertson (Crystal), Casey Maria Osorio Crowe (Dallas), Carmen Osorio Dyer (Jason), Nicole Osorio Taylor (Bradford), Anthony Osorio (Madeline), and Analise, Terence, Natalie, and Jack Osorio; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Miguel Antonio Medina, Elizabeth Medina, Cecilia Medina, Luisa Medina, and Concepción Medina Rojas.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 19, 2024, 6:00-8:00pm at Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, 2575 Reidville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.

Burial will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Road, Moore, SC 29369.
