Marshall Dupre Morgan

Marshall Dupre Morgan of Roebuck, SC passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the age of 70. He was born March 31, 1954 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Vivian Marshall and Dupre Morgan. 

After graduating from Dorman High School, Marshall earned his associate’s degree in business from Spartanburg Technical College. He first worked for Community Cash, before joining Woodruff-Roebuck Water District. Marshall retired after 31 years of service to his community. He was a strong Christian man; a former member of Roebuck Presbyterian Church and current member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Marshall loved singing in the choir and praise band. He was an avid Dorman Cavalier football and marching band fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and working in the yard. 

Marshall is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan George Morgan; daughters, Amanda Morgan Stephens (Adam) and Jessica Mallory Morgan; grandchildren, Wyatt Stephens, Walker Stephens, and Silas Rodgers; and sisters, Brenda McArthur and Phyllis Mauldin (Larry). Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Julian “Smitty” McArthur.

Visitation will be 10:00-11:15am on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 797 Old Georgia Road, Moore, SC 29369. Funeral services will follow at 11:30am in the sanctuary, conducted by Rev. Joe Burnett and Rev. Jim Oliver. Burial will be private.
