Mary Peake Browning

Glenn Springs, SC- Mary Peake Browning, wife of the late Donald F. Browning, died Saturday, June 10, 2017. Born September 14, 1924 in Glenn Springs, SC, Mary was a daughter of the late John Lam and Hattie West Peake. She was a graduate of Pauline High School and Cecil Business School. Mary was employed with Southern Bell for over 40 years where she was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and a lifelong member of Calvary Episcopal Church. Mary is survived by her sister, Elizabeth P. Kennedy of Winter Park, FL; sister in-law, Marcia S. Peake of Pauline, SC; nephews, John E. Peake (Deloris), Jerry L. Peake (Shirley), and Bill Kennedy (Lou); niece, Susan P. Cherry-Casey (Jerry); and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, John “J.L” Peake, Jr. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14th, 11AM Calvary Episcopal Church, officiated by Reverend Paul Stricklin. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial.
