Mary Margaret Koehler Bruno

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Margaret Koehler Bruno of Spartanburg, SC announce her passing at the age of 76 on February 20, 2022. She will be greatly missed.

Mary was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. She graduated from Benedictine Academy and Caldwell College followed by a Master’s degree in math from Monmouth College. She and her husband have been married for over 54 years. They moved to Spartanburg in 2004.

Her favorite things were her family, her beloved shih tzu, researching genealogy, reading and talking on the phone. In her younger days, she took great pleasure in being a high school math teacher, especially when teaching geometry.

Mary is survived by her husband, Robert L. Bruno of Spartanburg, SC; her son, Bob, Jr. and his wife Liz of Mt. Laurel, NJ; her son, Greg Bruno and his wife Beth of Greer, SC; sister Nancy Pinaud; and by her grandchildren: Billy, Braylyn, Cooper, Madie, Dixon, Davis and Ava.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 26, 2022, 3-5PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.
