Mary Catherine Franks

Arcadia, SC- Mary Catherine Franks, 90, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Upstate Community Hospice House. She was the daughter of the late M. H. and Flossie Netherton Franks of Arcadia. Catherine was a member of Arcadia United Methodist Church, where she was Church Historian and a member of Arcadia Women In Faith. She was also a member of Roebuck Eastern Star, Lodge #216. She is survived by her niece, Robbie Ward; nephew, Steve McCraw; and several great- and great-great- nieces and nephews. Catherine also leaves behind a special aunt, Evelyn Harwood of Black Mountain, NC. She was predeceased by her sister, Mildred F. McCraw and brother, Arnold R. Franks. A special thanks to the angels of Gentiva Hospice for their care of Catherine. Visitation will be at 1:00pm on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Arcadia United Methodist Church, 391 Arcadia Street, Spartanburg, SC 29301. A memorial service will follow at 2:00pm at the church, officiated by Rev. Skipper Brock, Rev. David Ervin, Rev. Jim Cartee, and Rev. Donna Stroud.
