Mary Clardy Griffith

Spartanburg, SC- Mary Clardy Griffith, 69, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born February 8, 1954 in Greenville, SC, Mary was a daughter of the late Audrey and Eleanor Ligon Clardy. She was a graduate of Berea High School, class of 1972. Mary was a secretary to the Principal at Parker High School and worked in administration at Lakeview Middle School prior to her retirement. She was a member of Berea First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving sister, Elaine Clardy Wyatt; her daughter, Carly Griffith Hollifield (John) of Greenville, SC; two grandchildren, Madison and MacKenzie; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by a brother, George Clardy.

Mary resided at the Cantrell’s Residential Assisted Living. The family would like to thank them for their kindness, compassion, and help during these final years.

Graveside memorial services will be private at a later date.
