Mary Rochelle Wood Yoder

Mary Rochelle Wood Yoder, 87, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. Born in Nash County, NC on January 29, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Nolia Turner Wood and widow of the late Paul Eugene Yoder. Rochelle was an active member of various Women’s Groups at Westminster Church, and an active of the church for 50+ years, member of the garden club, worked with the Cub Scouts, and overall loved helping others. She leaves behind many who will miss her, including her son, Stephen Yoder (Susan) of Spartanburg; daughter, Lisa Mercer (John Simmons) of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Blake Yoder (Amanda), Lance Yoder (Jenna), Garris Mercer, and Callie Mercer; great grandchildren, River and Riley; and a sister, Juanita Green of Williamsburg, VA. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45pm on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm in the Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
