Maureen Clark Lannamann

September 26, 1960 — September 12, 2018

Moore, SC- Maureen Clark Lannamann, 57, of 111 Blairfield Ct, passed into the arms of her savior on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. Maureen was born on September 26, 1960 in New York to Francis Thomas and Rosemary Loretta Clark. She was born into a unique family, having 4 hearing children and 4 deaf. Maureen is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, James Robert Lannamann; her son, Joseph Samuel of Columbia, SC; and daughters, Rebekah Ann of Clemson, SC and Rachel Grace, of the home. She was predeceased by her parents. Maureen graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in journalism. Her first career was in television news reporting where she worked with ABC affiliate WEAR in Pensacola, FL. This led to her meeting her future husband in 1989 while covering a story. After marrying James in 1992 at Hemet, CA, Maureen was a homemaker for many years. Moving to Spartanburg in 1997, Maureen continued as a fulltime wife and mother before becoming a realtor in 2012 with Better Homes and Gardens. She considered her love for the Lord and telling others about Him as her biggest career mission in life. Maureen enjoyed painting with water colors, playing tennis at The Westside Club, walking on the beach and spending time with her family. Many fond memories will remain of trips visiting relatives in Camden, ME and Vero Beach, FL. Her passion for life was eclipsed by her love for the Lord who she enjoyed worshipping at First Baptist Spartanburg. Maureen always displayed a deep Biblical understanding during discussions in the Warner-Black Sunday School class. Maureen leaves behind brothers, Thomas Francis Clark (Janey), Timothy Patrick Clark, Kevin Michael Clark, all of Virginia, and Daniel Joseph Clark (Mary) of Auburn, NY. Also surviving are sisters, Cynthia Rose Clark of Fort Pierce, FL, Rosemary Clark Golden (Donald) of Tullahoma, TN, and Patricia Ann Goulston of Spartanburg. Maureen leaves behind numerous beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the many friends who brought meals and prayed with Maureen   during her lengthy illness. Special appreciation goes to her wonderful caregivers at Spartanburg Regional Home Hospice. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15th, 1:30PM at First Baptist Spartanburg. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Spartanburg, Building Fund, 250 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306 or Spartanburg Regional Home Hospice, P.O. Box 430, Drayton, SC 29333.
