Spartanburg, SC- Melissa “Missy” Ann Adkins, 51, spouse of Jay Knight, died on Sunday, October 9th, 2022.

Born May 24th, 1971 in Spartanburg, SC, Missy was the daughter of David Ronald Adkins, Sr. and the late Sherry Lee Adkins.

In addition to her father and spouse, Missy is survived by her son, Cole Knight; brother, David Adkins, Jr.; four nieces, Marissa Wyatt (Reagan), Bailey Adkins, Aubri George and Azilee George; and a nephew, Lake Parnell.

Missy was the heart and soul of Economic Services at the Department of Social Services for over 30 years.

A private service will be held and officiated by Reverend Gary Adkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Dr Spartanburg, SC 29303.
