Michael W. “Mikie” Boone

Wellford – Michael William “Mikie” Boone, 42, husband of Rachel Young Boone, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 30, 2021.

Mikie was born on August 1, 1978, to Michael and Loretta Deyton Boone.  He was a loving husband, father, and son.  Mikie loved his job as the Asphalt Coordinator for Spartanburg County and his work with roads and bridges. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mikie was also a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where he also served as a Sunday School Teacher.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Myson Boone of the home; daughter, Destiny Boone, of the home; brother Brian “Bubba” Boone (Jennifer) of Simpsonville; father and mother-in-law, Reverend Powell and Debbie Young of Weaverville, NC.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, with a funeral service to immediately follow at Emmanuel Baptist Church at 11:00 AM.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at the Mt. Sheba Baptist Church Cemetery, Weaverville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church; 3000 Stone Station Rd., Roebuck, SC 29376.
