Myrtle Mae Satterfield Pearson Spartanburg - Myrtle Mae Satterfield Pearson, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2020 Mrs Pearson was born on April 27, 1930, in Spartanburg County and was a lifelong resident of the Canaan Community. She is a member of Canaan Baptist Church where she served on the Tape Ministry and Hostess Committee She worked at Kress in downtown Spartanburg and retired from Belk Department Stores after 23 ½ years of service as a Sales Associate and Supervisor. Mrs Pearson was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, David Talmadge “Tad” Pearson. She is survived by her children, Judy (Billy) Sherbert, Tommy (Angie) Pearson, and Pamela (Mitch) Bradley, nine grandchildren, Bryan Sherbert, Chad Sherbert, John Pearson, Michael Pearson, Tommy Pearson, Jr., Cory Pearson, Brianna Pearson, Bonnie Bradley, and Zackary Bradley, and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings, Flora Colquitt of Spartanburg, Faye Bishop of Moore, David Satterfield of Spartanburg, many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to Michelle Kent, her caregiver, for the last 9 years. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Dunbar Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:15 AM at Heritage Memorial Gardens with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Canaan Baptist Church Building Fund; 701 Canaan Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29306.
