Nancy Wingo Cheatwood Nancy Wingo Cheatwood beloved wife of Howard E "Buddy" Cheatwood of 52 years was born on November 29, 1946 to the late Archie Victor and Lillian Sizemore Wingo. Nancy graduated from Fairforest High School class of 1964 and attended USCS. She was employed with Reeves Brothers for over 40 years and for the last 15 years was the Assistant Manager for LCF Water Works. Nancy was a life long member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she started playing the organ at the age of 12 and continued for 62 years. Nancy would sit at the organ each Sunday with her infectious smile and at times was known to have a child join her on the organ bench. Nancy was a church mom to many children over the years. She never saw a person that she didn't give them a big hug, kiss and an I love you and of course her beautiful smile. Nancy gave love and showed love and it would light up the house of God with her infectious smile. She and her husband Buddy had a bus ministry that would bus in children around the surrounding area and would bring them to Church who other wise would never have entered the house of God. Nancy not only loved children she was a lover of all animals. She would even feed a possum. She also loved horse back riding. Nancy was known to some as "Fancy Nancy " she was always dressed to the nines with her makeup and high heels on and hair in place. She is survived by sister in laws, Faye Wingo, Cathy Wingo; nieces, Tina Scales, Karen Hollifield, Lisa Roberson Laughter; nephews, Donnie Wingo, Jeff Wingo, Michael Roberson, Kenny Wingo, and Mark Wingo. Nancy was predeceased by her siblings brothers, Billy, Johnny; sister, Linda Wingo Roberson; and a nephew, Tim Wingo. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 2nd at 11:00 am Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that guests wear masks and observe social distancing.
