Spartanburg, SC- Norma Caldwell Lambert Hughes, 88, died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at her home. Born July 5, 1929 in Fairforest, SC, Norma was a daughter of the late Aubrey W. and Bessie Shores Caldwell. She was a graduate of Fairforest High School, class of 1946, and Winthrop College. Norma was a teacher at heart and had a knack for English grammar. She shared her knowledge and helped many students throughout the years. Norma also played piano and was a longtime member of Fairforest Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Frank “Chip” H. Lambert (Jayne) of Spartanburg, SC; her daughter, Teresa “Terri” L. Lee Deer (Stephen) of Woodruff, SC; two stepdaughters, Nancy McMillan (Brook) and Judy Bott (Larry); grandchildren, Buddy Skinner, Amy Jo Workman, Lee Deer, Daniel Deer, Cole and Daniel McMillan, and Justin and Gary Bott; and five great grandchildren, Ashley, Lauren, Emily, Elias, and Avalie. In addition to her first husband, Frank H. Lambert and second husband, Benjamin W. Hughes; Norma was predeceased by her brothers, Lewis, Aubrey, Edward, and Billy Caldwell. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 17th, 5-7PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Monday, September 18th, 2PM at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery.
