Oren Ned Page, 95, of Greenville, SC, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023. He was born in Spartanburg, SC, to William Minor & Vera Eubanks Page. Ned was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Rev.William M. Page, Jr., Wilbur R. Page, and Walter N. Page. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Jean Brown Page; twin brother, Rev. Otis Ted Page (Sue); children, Michael Ned Page (Tina), Kay Page Lewis (Lindsay), and Phil Arthur Page (Gaye). He was the proud grandfather to Alexander Lewis (Mary Towles), Andrew Page (Beth), Robert Lewis, Hannah Page, Thomas Page; and great grandfather to, Duncan Lewis.
Ned was a WWII Army veteran and longtime faithful member and ordained Deacon of Augusta Road Baptist Church, serving in numerous leadership and participatory roles. Additionally, he was an active member of the Greenville Exchange Club on a local and state level.
Ned spent most of his career with the Piedmont & Northern Railroad before finishing in a senior level management position with the Southern Weighing & Inspection Bureau.
He was a humble, insightful man of faith and integrity. A true family man, who enjoyed the family’s annual beach trip, watching sports and other activities with his family and friends.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the loving and caring staff of Eden Terrace.
Visitation will be held in the sanctuary of Augusta Road Baptist Church, Greenville, SC, on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, beginning at 11:30 AM. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Afterwards, there will be a brief graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Greenville at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Augusta Road Baptist Church or the charity of one’s choosing.
