Pamela "Pam" Ann Netherton

Pamela “Pam” Ann Netherton, 69, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer on Wednesday, February 12 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House.

Born on June 8, 1955 in St. John Newfoundland, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Phyllis Baldner and Richard Baldner. She was also predeceased by a brother Andy Baldner and mother in law Carol Elizabeth “Beth” Netherton.

As a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Pam loved her career as being secretary at Woodland Heights Elementary School until she retired in 2018. She spent her life caring for others and her heart was the very definition of kindness. Pam was known for having a heart of gold, which included always putting others before herself. She never complained, even in the face of adversity, and was a true example of grace and strength. She was the best cook and brought warmth and comfort to every meal she prepared, creating memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in them.

Pam leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Pete; two children, Travis Netherton (Sara) of Knoxville, TN and Kasey Wright (Taylor) of Spartanburg. Her most favorite title was being a Nana to Tucker, Wyatt, and Blythe. She is also survived by a sister Lisa Cunningham (Kent); brother Chris Baldner (Angie) and brother Mike Baldner; a special sister in law, Paula Clymer (Dale); brother in law Nick Netherton (Jane); brother in law Brad Netherton (Trish); brother in law Bill Netherton (Margie); and many loved nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15th at 2:00 in the afternoon, 690 Southport Rd. Roebuck, SC 29376. The family will receive friends before the service beginning at 1:00pm. Pam’s love will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House for the empathy and love they showed Mom and the family during her final days.
