Pamela P. Patterson, 80, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at home after a courageous battle with a long illness. Born on March 5, 1943, in St. John’s, New Brunswick, Canada, she was the cherished daughter of the late Roland and Alice Lucas Phenix. Pamela dedicated over 40 years of her life to a successful career in sales with McMahan Shoes, leaving an indelible mark with her hard work and dedication. However, her true passion lay in the cultivation of beauty. Pamela's happy place was her garden, where she transformed their yard into a mesmerizing forest of trees, bushes, and flowers, creating a haven of natural splendor. A true horticulturalist at heart, Pamela's house was a testament to her love for plants, with every corner adorned with lush greenery. Her green thumb was a source of inspiration for those who knew her, and she took immense joy in sharing her knowledge with others. Pamela was remembered as an organized, down-to-earth, and strong woman who faced life's challenges with resilience and grace. Her unwavering spirit left a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Beyond her green oasis, Pamela had a passion for mysteries and amassed a library of books that reflected her love for the genre. She was a woman of diverse interests and had an uncanny ability to find beauty anywhere. Pamela P. Patterson is survived by her loving husband, Charlton Boyd Patterson; children, John Wickstrom (Melisa), Janice Cannon (Mike), Heather Dotson (Ed), and Adam Patterson (fiancée, Suzanne Therese); grandchildren, Zackary Dotson (Virginia), Luke Dotson, Sam Dotson, Erin Bennett, Dilan Cannon, Adalynn Bartley, and John Wickstrom, Jr.; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Heather Chase. Graveside memorial services will be 9:00am on Saturday, February 3, 2024 in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs, SC.
