Patricia Guyton Caldwell

Spartanburg, SC- Patricia Ann Guyton Caldwell, of 3280 Reidville Road, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, on Friday, June 7, 2019.  A native of Spartanburg County, Mrs. Caldwell was the daughter of the late Andrew and Sallie Guyton and the wife of the late Edward Reid Caldwell. She attended Fairforest High School through the 11th grade and graduated from Santa Rosa High School, Milton, Florida.  She received her nursing degrees from Hibbing State Junior College, Hibbing Minnesota and St. Joseph’s College, North Windham, Maine.  From Bellarmine University, Louisville, Kentucky, she received a Master of Science degree in Nursing.  She was also a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant.  For 44 years, Mrs. Caldwell was a Registered Nurse in both clinical and managerial positions.  She retired from Shriners Hospitals for Children, Greenville, SC in 2003.  After retirement, Mrs. Caldwell was adjunct faculty for Spartanburg Community College, Brown Mackie and Virginia College.  She was a NASCAR fan, true-crime buff and loved RVing with her husband.  Mrs. Caldwell was a charter member of Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church.  Her church family for the past many years was Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Since 1960, she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Jacksonville, Florida.  Mrs. Caldwell is survived by her children, Andrew (Vicky) of Lexington, SC and Mrs. Reida Landrum (Jamie) of Simpsonville, SC; four beautiful granddaughters that she loved with all of her heart, Haley Caroline Caldwell, Hannah Reid Caldwell, Laila Carolann Landrum, and Jamie-Lee Landrum.  She is also survived by a brother, H.B. Guyton of Inman, SC; niece, Mrs. Preidy Tipton of Spartanburg, SC; nephew, Hank Guyton of Cowpens, SC; sister in-law, Emily Sawyer; and niece, Marie Hyp, of Spartanburg, SC.  Her loving pets, Dakota and Molly brought her much joy. A visitation will be held Sunday, June 9th, 5:00-7:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10th, at 1:00 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home, conducted by Reverends Jim Oliver and Richard Landrum.   Serving as pallbearers are Carroll Caldwell, Hank Guyton, Scott Caldwell, Ernest Love, Earl Bulman, Don Johnson, Tommy Bulman and Jamie Landrum. Interment will be in Westwood Memorial Gardens following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund of Bethlehem Baptist Church, 725 Old Georgia Road, Moore, SC 29369, Salvation Army or the Spartanburg Humane Society.  The family is at the home.
