Patricia Ann Connor (85) – of Spartanburg, SC entered Heaven on April 11, 2021 surrounded by her family. Although she absolutely loved life and being with her family, she would frequently remind everyone “when I pass away, it will be the happiest day of my life because I will get to meet my Jesus.” Undoubtedly, she will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Connor was known to her family and friends by numerous terms of endearment, including “Nannoo,” “Granny,” “Grandmother,” “Old-lady,” and simply, “Pat.” She was loved by everyone that she encountered and never met a stranger. All around Spartanburg, her nickname “Granny” is resonant, as she wasn’t only “Granny” to her grandchildren. Her love of children and animals is unimaginable. Nannoo was an extremely well-rounded individual, having gained experience in numerous areas of life. She was able to offer advice and guidance to anyone with her unique stories and experiences. During her youth, she was employed by Woolworth Dime Store and later at Summit Hills as a caregiver. She was unofficially employed at “Pat’s Kitchen,” where she thoroughly enjoyed cooking up a Sunday feast, especially her Mac and Cheese Pie and Meat Loaf. Granny’s love for Jesus is second to none. From being a gospel singer during in her early days to listening to her favorite pastor on television, she always sought reassurance and guidance during difficult times through her faith. She was a long-time member of Whitney Free Will Baptist and Turning Point Free Will Baptist churches.
