Spartanburg, SC - Pat Lamas, 68, beloved wife of Carlos Lamas, passed away on Tuesday December 13, 2022 at her home.
She was a unique gift to everyone who knew her, even if for a brief time. Her goal in life was to encourage everyone to be their best and to do their best. This was evident in her love for her husband, especially for her daughters, her sons in-law, & grandchildren; as a 3rd grade teacher, for her students and their parents; her co-teacher sisters; our various small church groups; all her Bible study friends; neighbors and friends too many to mention; and even in the end she ministered to people who cared for her. She impacted so many lives and was not even aware how much. The driving force behind it all was her deep faith in Jesus Christ and her love for people. I trust she will spend eternity with Him.
Born July 25, 1954 in Rochester, NY; Pat was a daughter of Eleanor McNeill Sherman and the late Jack L. Sherman.
In addition to her husband, Carlos, she is survived by Ellen & Michael Myers and 4 grandkids; Corinne & Hykeng Paul and 2 grandkids; Eleanor Sherman; Maria Lamas; Martha & Todd Fischer; Scott & Kathy & Mathew & Kelly Sherman; Carolyn & Brad Hill and 3 grandnephews & nieces; Greg & Courtney Fischer and 2 grandnephews and nieces.
Services will be private
In remembrance of Pat, she would be honored if instead of flowers or memorials you make a contribution to a charity of your choice or take someone you love to coffee and a deep conversation in her honor.
