Peggy Ann Hall Bruce

Peggy Ann Hall Bruce,81, beloved wife of the late Alton Ray Bruce, passed away peacefully at her home on September 18th, 2023. Peggy was born on November 22nd, 1941, in Spartanburg, SC, to Boyce Hilbert Hall Sr. and Annie Bell Lane Hall. Peggy's dedication to her work shone through as she served as a devoted bookkeeper for the National Beta Club for an impressive 47 years. Upon retiring, she found immense joy in spending quality time with her cherished family, including her siblings, children, and beloved grandchildren. She belonged to the congregation of Roebuck Baptist Church, where she attended regularly every Sunday. Peggy's memory lives on in the hearts of her family. She is survived by her daughters, Virginia (Gini) Lane Bruce (Terry) of Moore, SC, and Lisa Bruce Sims (James) of Myrtle Beach, SC, as well as her sons, Steven Ray Bruce (Rene) of Spartanburg, SC, and Jason Alton Bruce (Christen) of Moore, SC. Peggy's legacy extends to her cherished grandchildren, Hunter, Sam, Seth, and Josh Bruce, and Rowan and Ann Kendall Sims. Peggy also leaves behind her two sisters, Ruby Virginia Hall and Nina Rebecca Hall Gregory, and her brother, Alberry Clement (A.C.) Hall. Peggy was preceded in death by her sister, Sibyl Jean Hall Edwards, and brothers, Boyce (Bud) Hilbert Hall Jr. and James (Jim) Franklin Hall. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to Diane Roberts and Denise Lancaster for their exceptional care of Peggy during this past year. Services to celebrate Peggy's life will be held on Thursday, September 21st, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Roebuck Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery at Roebuck Baptist.
