Phillip Mason Graham of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 at the age of 86. He was born in Galivants Ferry, SC on January 8, 1939 to the late D. Mason and Dorothy Joyce (Huggins) Graham.
Phillip enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served on the USS Putnam and USS Vesole as DK Class Dispersing Clerk. After his honorable discharge, he worked under the direction of William Hambrick with Clement Lumber Company, Inc. maintaining records for 46 years. Phillip was a devoted member of Masonic Lodge #70, holding many titles including Master, DDGM, and most recently, Treasurer. He was also a member of the Spartanburg York Rite and Order of the Eastern Star, Tallulah Chapter #16.
Known for his sense of humor and big heart, Phillip cared for those around him. It did not matter if you were family or not, he valued showing the love of Christ to all around him. Phillip was also a family man; he loved Gore family reunions, his vacations with Irma and spending time with her tending their garden.
Phillip is survived by his wife of 28 years, Irma P. Graham; sons, Phillip H. Graham (Wendy) of Summerville and Taylor A. Graham (Angie) of Simpsonville; step-sons, Curtis Turner (Rhonda) and Caroll Turner (Gaylea); grandchildren, Jonathan Graham (Olivia), Sarah Graham, Joshua Graham (Haylee), Amber Graham, Tyler Ann Graham (James), Mason Graham, and Christian Slate; seven step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Joan Floyd of Columbia; sisters-in-law, Chieko Graham of Augusta, GA and Elizabeth Alford of Conway, SC; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Ann (Baldwin) Graham; brother, George David Graham; sister, Janet Joycelyn Reynolds (S.M.); and step-sons, Michael Turner (Kim) and Thomas Turner.
Visitation will be 10:00-10:45am on Monday, February 24, 2025 at J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am in the chapel, conducted by Rev. David Nichols. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites by Lodge #70 and Military Rites by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
