Ralph Dean Mize

Roebuck, SC- Ralph Dean Mize, 81, husband of Janie Whitmore Mize, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Born April 27, 1936 in Spartanburg, SC, Ralph was a son of the late Mack and Jessie Lainer Mize. He was a member of Roebuck Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Ralph is survived by his daughters, Midge Jolley (Dennis) of Gaffney, SC and Sandy Bush of Woodruff, SC; grandchildren, Devin Bailey, Logan Bailey (Jennifer), Ethen Bailey, and Heather Grow (Ryan); four great grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret DeRosa of Spartanburg, SC. He was predeceased by his brother, Roy Mize; four sisters, Ruby Williams, Shirley Ann Mize, Louise Smith, and Pauline Martin; and a grandson, Benji Jolley. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 2nd, 2-3PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3PM in the Chapel, officiated by Reverend Dr. Tim Williams. Burial will be held in Heritage Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roebuck Baptist Church, Young at Heart, P O Box 490, Roebuck, SC 29376 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 901 S Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
