Rene Addington Halliday

Spartanburg, SC- Rene Addington Halliday, 64, daughter of the late Claude Newton and Blanche Fowler Addington, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 13, 2018. Rene was born July 18, 1953 in Spartanburg, SC and graduated from Cowpens High School and Anderson College. For many years, she worked for the Correll Insurance Group. Rene loved Clemson sports, the beach, but most of all, her children. She is survived by her daughter, Emilie Halliday and her fiancé, Ross Peele; her son, Emmett Halliday; two brothers, Eric and David Addington; several nieces and nephews; and her aunt, Pat Campbell. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Tony and Michael Addington. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 17th, 4:00PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, officiated by The Reverend Steve Wise. The family will receive friends following the service at the home, 140 Marlin Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
