Robert Ulmer Miller

Robert “Robin” Ulmer Miller, 73 of Spartanburg, S.C. died Friday afternoon, July 9, 2021. Born June 15, 1948 in Inman, SC, he was the son of the late John Edward and Anna Deal Ulmer Miller. Robin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Robin grew up in Inman, SC where he graduated from Chapman High School. He went on to earn a math degree from Wofford College and then spent many years building and running his company, Miller Construction, Inc. He was active in the youth group, mission trips, and served as a deacon for many years at the First Presbyterian Church. Robin loved life and being surrounded by his family and friends. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, and hiking, especially his annual trip to Mt LeConte which he made for more than 30 years. In his later years, Robin was especially fond of long rides with Betsy, his Wednesday evening outing with the guys, and family get-togethers featuring Emma and Kaitlyn. Robin is survived and missed by his wife, Betsy Temples Miller; his sons, Bryan and Robby (Elyse); his grandchildren, Emma and Kaitlyn; his brothers, Boyce (Carol) and Johnny; and too many family and friends to list. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 21st, 3:30PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
