Ronald Barry Rollins

Spartanburg, SC- Ronald Barry Rollins, 72, husband of Martha Marie McBride Rollins, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018. Born January 15, 1946 in Spartanburg, SC, Ronnie was a son of the late Elias V. and Jeanette Roddy Rollins. He honorably served his country in the US Army Reserves and retired after 28 years of service with Cryovac. Ronnie never met a stranger and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish, but he loved his grandsons more. Ronnie “Papa Ron” will be remembered for the wonderful husband, father, and grandfather that he was. In addition to his wife, Martha, he is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Henson (Todd) of Inman, SC; two grandsons, Eli Henson (fiancé, Deidre Ridings) and Deacon Henson; his brother, Phillip Rollins (Susan) of Greenwood, SC; two sisters, Joan Davis (Benny) of Startex, SC and Linda Laycock (Richard) of Campobello, SC; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 17th, 11AM at Dunbar Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Keith Taylor. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
